Using the account and anonymity

• To protect your privacy, the service does not require personal data to log in. Each user creates their account using an email address, which becomes the sole identifier (“Account ID”), used only to link purchased sessions, conversation summaries, and mood levels. When the account is deleted, the assigned email address and all associated information (number of sessions, summaries, etc.) are permanently removed from the database with no possibility of recovery. The only exceptions are payment processing data and application logs, which are not deleted.
• You may use the same identifier on different devices.
• We do not store any data in our database that could unambiguously identify the User, such as IP addresses or contact details.

Personal data in payments

The security of your data during payment processing is the responsibility of the external company Stripe, Inc. (“Stripe”). It acts as the data controller for the payer’s data. If necessary – e.g., at the request of relevant authorities – the service operator may link a user’s Account ID with payer data stored in Stripe’s payment database.

Use of cookies

• We only use technical cookies and local storage, which are necessary for the comfortable use of the service (maintaining the Account ID, conversation state, last message).
• We also use the Google Analytics tool, which does not violate your privacy and allows us to diagnose errors and improve the application’s performance. Use of this tool is based on the legitimate interest of the controller.

No advertising tools

No third-party advertising codes from companies like Google, Meta (Facebook), Microsoft, or other ad providers are used on the site. Your activity is not shared with these companies and is not used for ad personalization.

Processing of technical data (IP)

IP addresses are collected by tools that ensure the seamless operation of the service: Stripe and Google. We do not maintain our own IP-based user databases, but we do have access to such data in external providers’ databases.

Use of your messages and inquiries

• MaindMe collects the content of conversations and processes them to improve the quality of the provided services. This includes functionalities such as chat history and conversation memory.
• Google does not use conversations from MaindMe to further train its AI models.

According to the GDPR, you have the right to:

• access your personal data;
• request its correction or deletion (“right to be forgotten”);
• object to or restrict processing;
• transfer data to another controller;
• lodge a complaint with the relevant data protection authority.

Prohibition of including personal data in message content

• Sending personal or sensitive data in messages is prohibited (as per the service’s terms and conditions).
• The operator is not responsible for any consequences resulting from such actions.

Processing data outside the European Economic Area

Your data (e.g., conversation data for chat functionality, technical data, and payment information) may be processed by companies outside the European Economic Area, such as Stripe, OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or others. In such cases, we apply all appropriate safeguards as required by EU law.

Data retention period

Transaction data is stored for a maximum of 5 years from the user’s last activity on the service, which allows us to ensure service consistency and meet legal obligations.

Changes to the privacy policy

• The operator may make changes to this privacy policy.
• Significant changes will be announced on the service website or via appropriate communication channels. We recommend regularly reviewing updates to this document.
